| Reminder for Parents |
Students in grades 2 through 6 will participate in State testing from May 1 through May 11. Make-up testing ends on May 16. Please help our students do their best by sticking to a regular routine during that two-week window, making sure the children get a good night's rest, and that they have a good breakfast before coming to school. Our schools will be closed on Monday, May 28, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. |

| Kindergarten Registration |
Parents of students who will be 5 years old on or before November 1, 2012 and will begin Kindergarten in the Fall of 2012 are asked to visit the school in their area during the week of February 13-16 to pick up a registration packet. Please click here for more information. |
| Board Meeting |
The next regular meeting of the Board of Trustees will be held on Monday, May 14, at 7:00 p.m., in the Hope District Board Room, 3970 La Colina Road, Santa Barbara, CA 93110. The date of the June regular board meeting has been changed to Tuesday, June 5 at 7:00 p.m. The 2012-2013 district budget will be presented for adoption at this meeting. |

| District Residency |
The Hope School District serves students who live within district attendance boundaries. The district residency policy AR 5111.1 outlines criteria for residency requirements. Please click here for the district residency policy. A list of the street addresses that are within the Hope School District boundaries is available here (please click). This list is a guideline only, check with the school office to confirm that the address is within the district attendance area. Please note that residency within the district boundaries guarantees attendance at one of the district schools but not necessarily the school within whose attendance area the student resides. |
| Open Enrollment Policy |

| General Obligation Bond Oversight Committee |
The Bond Oversight Committee will meet on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. in the Hope School District Office, 3970 La Colina Road. A budget update will be presented. The Bylaws for the Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee were adopted by the Board of Trustees at their meeting on November 8, 2010.
