Dear Parents, The Hope School District invites you and your family to a pancake breakfast on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Vieja Valley School. Breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 11:30 at the yard adjoining the multi-purpose room. Please plan to come before your Saturday events or after and enjoy a Kiwanis Club event. We hope that you received the blue post card that announced this event along with the opening dates of school in the last week. Please be assured that ALL families are invited and welcomed at this breakfast and the wording on the post card was never meant to invite some families and exclude others. We were attempting to indicate that it was an event for the families of all our students, at all of our schools, not just at Vieja Valley. Additionally we were concerned that the invite might be interpreted to mean the pancake breakfast was for staff and their families. In trying to make that clear ( in a limited amount of space) our invite was miscommunicated. We hope to see all families there! Sincerely, Gerrie Fausett Superintendent |
